An Internet Forum in New Zealand for those interested in Krishnamurti's work

Hello,

I was recently at Brockwood Park, where I was able to learn of several developments back in NZ! This led me to think that perhaps here in NZ, people who are interested in the teachings lack a simple way to communicate with each other “en masse”, as it were. Gatherings in NZ are not frequently held, and there are those who may be unable to attend them.

It occurred to me that an email group (ie a listserv) would be very useful, providing a speedy and convenient means of communication – at least for those with ready access to the internet! So this is an invitation to join the “Krishnamurti-NZ” group. It will be an unmoderated group. I do not anticipate a large volume of mail.

Here are some of the obvious uses of the list which occur to me.

bullet Obtaining feedback on ideas/proposals for new projects in NZ.
bulletSharing resources – special books, tapes etc.
bulletSharing information, links, people’s personal experiences and perceptions.
bullet Allowing a voluntary data base of people to be built up.
bullet Facilitating dialogue and participation in K activities.

However, it is not intended here to define exactly how the group will be used – we will see how it develops. The first step is to ensure people are aware of its existence.

To this end, if you know of others who might be interested in participating, please pass on an invitation to them. A list of those already subscribed can be found at the group homepage http://groups.msn.com/krishnamurtinz  but you must be a group member to access this.

Please note that there is a choice offered of either receiving messages as emails or reading them on the message board at the website.

To join the Krishnamurti-NZ email group:

 Kind Regards

 Clive Elwell (list administrator)
